I am totally over waiting in hospitals for things to be done to me and I haven't even started.
I took a pain killer with codeine last night to try to get a good sleep....anyone see where this is going?
Yep I had a allergic reaction and had a very restless night. Having no GP in Brisbane we came to the hospital with Rick this morning to get him started on the harvest and get me into emerge to make sure that it wasn't an infection that was causeing this bright pink skin rash and hot flushed feeling. Rick's on the machine and I'm on antihistomine.
I hope all this bother before I start means I will have a smoother time with the chemo etc.
Yeah I'm not holding my breath either!
Thanks to Dan, Regs, Shiny, cousin John, Alicia for your comments
We are planning a turkey dinner at home with Rick and Bev tonight to celbrate the sucessful harvest. Judy the transplant coordinator says Rick's blood test this morning indicates that he willl probably harvest the full amount today but we'll know for sure at 2 or 3pm today. If not he gets another shot of growth factor and more machine time tomorrow.
We are still hanging out to see my oncologist here at the hospital to see about getting the schedule restarted.
more later

I hate hospital waiting rooms too...no tables, no kitchen, I'm going back to waiting in resturants...get some good waiting in there.
I went into a waiting room the other day and there was no one waiting there at all, nurse wouldn't even take my order. Boom-boom. Tsk! now my head hurts, why has the room gone all red-coloured, and why won't these spiders go away and stop trying to sell me aluminimum siding.
Well I can't type here all day...have to pen Shakespeares's Hamlet by Mumbles...then I can pen the sheep.
Hope you are. Existence is a flimsy thing, not to mention survival (I mentioned survival but I think I got away with it).
Well lunch is over...

Yes
Hi Chris. I just saw your blogs for the first time today. It's nice to be able to keep in contact like this. We've had lots of rain, 110 mls. I was reading a Rolling Stone magazine today, and there was a story on AC/DC, commerating the 26th anniversary of the release of Back in Black. It sounds like the folks at Rolling Stone aren't to fond of Brian Johnson, but i've always thought he was great (maybe even better than Bon Scott), but I just want to know what you think. Talk to you later.
Mum and dad say thanks for keeping us up on what's happening and to say hi to Joyce.
Hey Chris...your blog looks great! I particularly appreciated the pic of your gallbladder! Peg and I are just back from Ottawa with our new addition...'Boomer'...he's a sweet heart of a puppy. Will let you know when we have new pictures posted!
Love to you and Joyce!
Hey Chris & Joyce,
I have only just figured out how to access your blog and answer it. Woot!
You're blog is the first blog that I have ever seen, but from my limited worldy experience I say it's awesome. However, it needs some sort of fluorecent flashing sign at the start though as a warning for "This blog may contain images that may fall into the catagory of TOO MUCH INFO!" Seriously though I thought your picture of you're gall bladder was hillarious.
About waiting rooms though I can understand. I mean you can't even sit there and have a little sing to yourself to help pass the time because the nurses etc. look at you like you're mentally subnormal to be even contempating such a thing! Oh, well I guess this means that you will both just have to dedicate some time and effort into developing your new superpower for time travel. (Hopefully you go forwards not backwards)
By the sounds of things you should have named an entry "The many adventures and misadventures of Chris O". .....Actually maybe just Chris, 'cause Chris O might sound a bit like a breakfast cereal.
Anyway I have this annoying habit of writing really long messages but I suppose that's not always a bad thing. Love to you both, Lisa
