I'm such a tech geek I had to do this in a blog but I want to be able to let friends know what's happening with me and in a way that is not intrusive. So visit this blog and see what 's new at your leisure.
It's now Sunday night in Brisbane.
My Brother Rick was here for dinner. He had his first shot today in the afternooon and we went to "help". I got my dressing changed by a really nice pair of caring nurses.
But I'm getting ahead of myself.
My bone marrow transplant is slightly off schedule because in the final run up the ultrasound to clear my liver actually showed that my gall Bladder is a bit of an issue and the docs say take out the gall bladder first. So I still got my Hickman's central line in on Friday and my brother Rick (he's calling himself the "Cell Farm" now as well) still arrived from Canada and started his growth factor shots today. He'll get 'harvested' on the 15th, they will store the cells until I start the process again after the Gall Bladder is out and and healed.
