A weekend of firsts

Here's chilli visiting with the Marbardis for Sunday brunch. Its the first time I've seen her since I went into hospital 6 weeks ago. I had to be careful to just pet her then wash right away but it was still nice. She didn't seem to act strangly to my new self. So maybe its not as big a change I've been thinking. Greg and Anne along with Callum joined us for breakfast and we had a good visit. we got caught up and had a good bunch of laughs. Greg and Callum are constantly making word jokes at every turn it was fun to hear that banter again.

Saturday night we went to Bevs for dinner.. First dinner out and first giant flight of stairs! We buzzed in the lower door and told Bev to sit back I would be up in less than a half hour, but it was surprisingly easy. I do better going up then down I guess. We had an absolute cracker of a meal. Really tender Roo done in a bush lime, myrtle, wild aussie mint and toasted cocunut sauce. Yum! it was so good, I cleaned my plate. Roo is good for me too! High in nutrients but lean and low in chrolestrol.

Met my first stranger since being out , Kathryn a collegue of Bev's from one of the the older services joined us for dinner... very nice lady. She was awaiting news about her fourth grandchild due that night but being a bit reluctant.

Joyce brought her new Sky Scout http://www.celestron.com/skyscout/new/index.php along and we got to give it its first go. it was great. Even with clouds we got a views of Alpha Centuri, Canopus and a bunch of others... big fun.

Earlier in the day on Saturday I got my first two bags of blood outside of the hospital. My red cell and hemo is nice and high and I definitely feel better.

Monday bodes well with a couple of walks planned and a visit to the physio this afternoon.

more later
Chris

Oi Chrisy, Hope this finds you all goodly!! Mum gave me the address to your wedsite so i thought i would have a look and leave you a message! Sounds like you have been going threw a whole lot of stuff but bald seems to be a very good look for you! I like the sound of joyce's sky scout. I wonder if it would work here in Tokyo. I can count the stars on one hand here which is a little sad but Im sure that if everyone turned the lights out they would be easier to see. Well i better get back to the books. Have a big week of study ahead of me woo woo! Its great to hear you seem to be doing well even if you do get fat feet. Oh and by the way, bogans are taking over the world, thats why nobody gets dressed up anymore!!

I bet that chilli was sooo happy to see her daddy again even if it was for a short time! What did she think about her chilli replacements?? ie idog and the dog at the door?!?

This weekend has been pretty big for us to... we took shushula on her first outing to the showgrounds yesterday and apart from introducing herself to EVERYBODY and a little buck in the lesson she was really well behaved. I think she know believes that after her brief ride in the truck with costa, that he is her boyfriend and she just adores him!

Bogans are definitly taking over its an epidemic. so watch out they might get you!

Love you both

Alicia

If only I had been about ten minutes earlier and not needed to drop Dani's work pants to her house after Jen's party Saturday night. I would have joined my family at your lovely abode.
Alas. My social life is taking its toll.

I have a few mysteries for you to comtemplate.
Why does tyson play better ping pong when he's had four jimmy's?
How come Jen's boyfriend goes and stands next to a tree when he talks on the phone?
Why do ping pong balls like to land in people laps?
And why the HELL do emma and I always wear the same thing by accident?

See you tuesday my dears...

Sian.

Chris: glad to hear you are getting out and about and beginning to get back to a regular life. your dog knows the score...they are smarter than us in a lot of ways. maybe when you moved the washer to look for the leak you changed the position of the hoses and the connectors just microscopically enough to eliminate a leak? but, not to worry, you know the leak will come back...

take care. keep walking. what about swimming? might spare your sore feet.

Hi Chris,
It's Lisa here. I'm so glad to hear that you got to see Chilli. I'm sure that she was just ecstatic to see you and Joycie.

How is your carrot top progressing? Or does it change colour with your shirt? Actually that would be cool. You could have a different hair colour each doay of the week.

So pleased to see you the other weekend. It was just the icing on my cake. Thankyou for letting Alicia and I visit.

Love to you both
