Busier than a one armed paperhanger

Wow I was worried about my sanity and body holding up but apparently I'm made of stern stuff.  Actually I KNEW I was going to get through but a certain height challenged cute bomb was a bit worried (as is her right) that I had "bitten......chew".

I'm on the home stretch of my busy two months with the Lighting Design for almost done as the Wizard of Oz is in Production and doing the second tech run Tomorrow Saturday. I will turn it over to the Stage Manager and Board Op tomorrow and then see it opening night.

The shave is not coming so good....I have a ton of organizing to do for the event part and I have not had time to make any inroads in to my own direct appeals. The great news is that my High School has come on board big time. One of the most dedicated teachers has agreed to shave and she will bring in a bucket I think. there are other teachers shaving if their form classes come up with the cash and we should even get Shevo's leg's waxed this year.

The Dance group from last year is trying to get an event up at a different venue in Maryborough ! The cast and crew from the Wizard of Oz are doing a shave at their cast party. Tamika my co-coordinator is also doing some work at her school  so that's another 4 spawned events so I'm pretty happy with that but its taking time from my personal campaign but its all good.

Maccas has a new free WiFi hot spot which they haven't really advertised so I'm the only one here on a long lunch getting caught up.

I'm meeting this weekend to see the Director of Hamlet at Z-Pac Theatre, a local amateur company. I put my had up not realizing that its in May and I had always wanted to work with them and get a idea up and running. They are big time interested and have given me the green light. I'm like many people I have great ideas but need the helpers to make them happen and I was worried about z-pac having a big crew so I have pitched.....
"Bay Crews"
They are funding four workshops on Saturdays (?) two before Hamlet that will allow me to recruit and train crew for the show and then i hope to keep the crew together throughout the year offering them to any community org that needs lighting and later general theatre help. There are a lot of young folk in the Fraser Coast area that are keen to pick up skills.  Z-pac is paying me a stipend to do it to cover some of my time and materials.

More later
